You may want to remove the battery pack from your Nokia 6500 slide mobile phone, if you want to replace it or find out what the IMEI number is. To do this successfully, without breaking anything, follow the step by step instructions that are provided to help with the removal.
1) Hold the Power button down on the keypad to turn it off. You dont want to remove the battery pack when the phone is on because it can cause the firmware to get corrupted.
2) You will need to remove the back panel/cover. Look at the top edge of the phone, near the camera lens, you will see a small release button.
3) Using the tip of your finger, press the release button down to unlock the back panel. Then grasp the back cover with your hands around all of its edges and push it upwards to remove it.
4) Now the battery pack will be exposed. To remove it, turn the phone to one side and tap it on the palm of your hand. The battery pack will then detach itself from the device and fall into you hand. The type of model for this battery is a BP-5M and its rated at 3.7 volts.
